Kapil Sharma slams rumours of rift with Akshay Kumar calls actor his ‘big bro’, says ‘Bachchan Pandey’ episode is on

Kapil Sharma and Akshay Kumar seem to be having a good laugh about the media report that speculated a tiff between the two, which resulted in Kumar canceling his appearance on Sharma’s popular comedy show to promote his upcoming film, ‘Bachchan Pandey’.

A Hindustan Times report had previously claimed that Kumar was upset with Sharma when he found out that a clip from his recent appearance on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, that he had requested the comedian to delete, was posted online by Sony Entertainment Television.

Sharma, however, trashed this report as a ‘miscommunication’ that a phone call has already fixed. Saying that it is all water under the bridge now, Sharma shared a tweet earlier today, explaining what is going on between him and the ‘Khiladi’ actor.


Calling Kumar his ‘big bro’, Sharma claimed that Kumar can never be angry at him.Sharma tweeted, “Dear friends, was reading all the news in media about me and Akshay paji, I have just spoken to paji and sorted all this, it was just a miss communication, all is well and very soon we are meeting to shoot Bachchan Pandey episode. He is my big bro and can never be annoyed with me, thank you.”

The clip, that was the reported cause of disagreement between Kumar and Sharma, is from an episode in which Sharma had asked Kumar, about an interview he did with a ‘famous personality’. Media reports claim that Sharma was alluding at Kumar’s interview with Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

Kumar instead of replying to Sharma, challenged him to name the ‘famous personality’. The comedian, however, shied away from the challenge and tried to switch topics.

Kumar reportedly had second thoughts about this bit of conversation after the shoot was over, and was afraid that it might hurt sentiments and can be seen as showing PMO less seriously. Hence he requested the channel to not add that part to the show.

‘Bachchan Pandey’ is an upcoming film that stars Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez.
