Kapil Sharma in trouble again: FIR against comedian for destroying mangroves
An FIR was filed against actor-comedian Kapil Sharma on Wednesday under the Environment Protection Act, and the Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices (MRTP) Act for destroying mangroves in Mumbai's Versova area. The comedian allegedly had dumped debris near mangroves behind his bungalow in suburban Versova and was conducting illegal construction near the site.

This is not the first time Sharma has found himself in a soup. Earlier this year, he had kicked up a controversy when he alleged that he was asked to pay a bribe of Rs 5 lakh by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The BMC had countered him by stating that the Versova office belonging to Sharma was illegally constructed.

He had also tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a tweet posted on September 9, claiming that he had been asked for a bribe.
