Kangana Ranaut defends witches. When the ‘Queen’ star’s ex-boyfriend accused her of witchcraft
Witches have gained a fresh supporter in Kangana Ranaut. The actress and politician recently shared a passionate message on X (previously known as Twitter), where she praised witches, portraying them as women who have tapped into their "higher self."

Sharing the tweet, the ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ star wrote, "Witches are women who are connected to their higher self, their intuition, infectious free spirit, indomitable will power and uncontrollable urge to break all boundaries make them mysterious, frightening and threatening to those who are caged and cursed."
She added, "Caged people believe that gifted people have some evil powers and they must be burnt to ashes, misery exists in so many forms and jealousy is the most miserable of them all. You can choose to be jealous or be inspired, make a smart choice, those who choose to be inspired are the chosen ones, break the cage and break free..”
Samantha Ruth Prabhu on Sunday shared a screenshot of Kangana's tweet on her Instagram Stories and wrote, “Word..”
When Kangana Was Accused Of Being A Witch
The actress’s ex-boyfriend, actor Adhyayan Suman had accused her of practising black magic. He claimed she made people drink her menstrual blood. In retaliation, Ranaut told NDTV, “It doesn't upset me when people call me names and talk about my period blood - but just don't call it gross. Because there is nothing gross about period blood. When we think about periods, it's my ability to reproduce, it's my ability to give birth. If there's nothing gross about a man's body fluids, then there is nothing mysterious or evil about women's body fluids either..” she said.
On the work front, Kangana will make her acting comeback with the political drama ‘Emergency’.
The political drama, which Kangana wrote, directed, and co-produced, was initially set for release on September 6 after experiencing several postponements. However, it couldn't meet that date due to being held up by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The movie Emergency has been surrounded by controversy for a while, particularly drawing criticism from Sikh organizations over its portrayal of the community. Now that the CBFC has granted certification, Kangana has confirmed that a new release date will be revealed shortly
