Kangana Ranaut congratulates Swara Bhaskar on her marriage; fans laud her ‘first positive tweet in life’

Bollywood diva Kangana Ranaut is back in the news. But this time for spreading good vibes only! The ‘Queen’ star congratulated her ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ co-actor Swara Bhaskar, who recently announced her marriage to politician beau Fahad Ahmad.

The ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ star, who is usually known for her acerbic take-no-prisoners-style tweets, did a complete U-turn by dropping a sweet tweet to Bhaskar’s post which celebrated the Special Marriages Act for enabling interfaith couples to wed legally. Reacting to the post, Ranaut wrote, “You both look happy and blessed, that’s God’s Grace … marriages happen in the hearts rest all are formalities …”
The tweet went viral on the microblogging platform. It gained over 267K views and over 4000 likes. This good-natured tweet shocked many fans as the two stars were not known to be on the best terms. The duo had a feud when the ‘Gangster’ actress called the ‘Veere Di Wedding’ star “a B-grade actress” in an old tweet.


Some fans rejoiced that the two stars seem to be on speaking terms again. “Wow, what a day, can’t believe Tanu and Payal …!!!” gushed a Twitter user, referring to the time, the two actresses played besties in ‘Tanu Weds Manu’, and ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’. Another wrote, “First positive tweet in life.” Another Twitter user left a wry comment, “Playing it safe after being reinstated?”
Bhaskar announced her marriage to the Samajwadi Party leader by sharing a montage that recounted how the two met and fell in love. She also added a heartfelt caption, “Sometimes you search far and wide for something that was right next to you all along. We were looking for love, but we found friendship first. And then we found each other! Welcome to my heart@FahadZirarAhmad It’s chaotic, but it’s yours!'' The tweet gained over one million views and 13K likes. The couple met at an anti-CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) protest in 2020.

On the work front, Ranaut, is busy with the post-production of her upcoming period political drama 'Emergency' where she essays the role of Indira Gandhi.
