The Bombay High Court has stayed Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) demolition of actress Kangana Ranaut's Bandra office and has asked the civic body to file a reply on actor's petition.

The actress had sought a stay on it from the Bombay High Court. Earlier on Wednesday, the civic agency had carried out the demolition citing 'illegal construction'.
The 33-year-old knocked on HC doors on Wednesday, challenging the notice issued by the Mumbai civic body for 'illegal construction' at her Bandra office, and sought a stay on the demolition process.
"We filed a petition this morning seeking urgent hearing. We have sought a stay on the demolition process by way of interim relief," Ranaut's advocate Rizwan Siddiqui told PTI.
He said the High Court is likely to take up the plea for hearing during the course of the day.

The actress, who left her Himachal home for Mumbai on Wednesday morning, took to social media to share pictures of the (BMC) officials demolishing the office. And this gave the actress fresh ammunition to invoke the 'Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir' reference, again, as she critiqued the civic body's high-handed behaviour towards her.
"I am never wrong and my enemies prove again and again this is why my Mumbai is POK now," Ranaut wrote in her tweet.

In another tweet, Ranaut shared images of the BMC officials at her home. The 33-year-old wrote that she 'promised to give blood' for Maharashtra pride and that her spirit will 'only rise higher and higher'.

On Tuesday, the BMC had filed a caveat in a local court, saying that it should be heard first if Ranaut challenges a stop- work notice issued to her.

Meanwhile, the Maharashtra government on Tuesday said that the police will probe allegations made by actor Adhyayan Suman that she took drugs. On Wednesday, Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said that the Mumbai Police will probe the same
Ranaut had recently said that she feared the Mumbai Police more than the "movie mafia", and would prefer security either from Himachal Pradesh or the Centre. She then engaged in a bitter war of words with the Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut, after which, she was given Y+ security. She also thanked Union Home Minister in a tweet for providing her with the security cover.
Kangana Managed By Sister Rangoli; Other Celebs Who Too Mixed Family & Showbiz
1/4
Actress Kangana Ranaut is used to making news, be it for winning a National Award, creating waves at the box office, or even for her personal life. The actress is known to not mince her words, even if it means things not always working in her favour. While Ranaut doesn’t shy away from commenting on issues she feels strongly about, recently the ‘Manikarnika’ actress has been receiving flak from a section of the media.
However, it’s not just Ranaut’s statements that have come under scrutiny, but also that of her sister and manager, Rangoli Chandel. Chandel’s tweets often slamming anyone and everyone in Bollywood, have received criticism. Several fans have even taken to the microblogging site to say that Rangoli, whose Twitter bio reads 'Manager & Sister to #KanganaRanaut' may be harming the 'Queen' star's image and overshadowing her work. some have even requested the actress to hire a professional publicist.
But Kangana isn't the first celebrity to be managed by a family member. Several others have also taken the family route when it comes to professional matters.

Queen Bey and her father-manager Mathew Knowles's fallout was the stuff of headlines. While the 67-year-old now claims that he shares a good relationship with both his daughters, Beyoncé and Solange, after having learnt to switch from manager to father, it wasn't always the case. Mathew not only managed 'Destiny's Child' but reportedly also trained three members to sing.
Mathew was around right from the beginning of Beyoncé's career, until over a decade later when on March 28 in 2011 the 'Sorry' singer announced that the duo were going their separate ways, and the decision was mutual.
Since the split, the singer has been managed by her own company, Parkwood Entertainment.
