Kaiterra is a well-known brand when it comes to air quality monitors. We have been big fans of the Laser Egg and the Laser Egg 2 in the past and the latest Laser Egg 2+ is another great addition to the line-up. In terms of design, Kaiterra has opted to keep it the same as previous generation products but to make it easy to identify, the Egg 2+ has a gold coloured ring around the frame while the others have a silver ring. In the center it has a 2.6-inch colour display that shows air quality readings.
It's easy to read, even from a distance. Setting up the Laser Egg 2+ is simple – charge it, power it on, install the companion app on your smartphone to pair it and then connect it to your home WiFi. Once done, the device shows real-time PM 2.5 readings as well as TVOC (Total Volatile Organic Compound) levels.
TVOC measurement is the new addition on the Egg 2+ and these readings can spike with things like natural gas and paint thinner. Apart from this, the Laser Egg 2+ also shows you temperature and humidity levels. The device is Apple Homekit compatible and you can use it with Siri to check the air quality.
