Kaho naa… dad hai

It was an emotional night – one that played out with laughter and tears, much like a typical Rakesh Roshan blockbuster. For the launch of Sunaina Roshan’s biography on her father To Dad, With Love, published by Om Books International, at Delhi’s Marriott, the most poignant tribute came from his son and Bollywood superstar Hrithik. Even his mother Pinky got teary-eyed listening to Hrithik’s heartfelt speech on how he picked up lessons of love and parenthood just by imitating Roshan Sr.

Pinky even let slip that Sunaina was the more naughty sibling, often getting her softy dad to do her school math homework. Amidst the gush and mush, people scarcely noticed Hrithik’s soon-to-be-ex-wife Sussanne’s absence. In fact, an insider said that guests were instructed not to bring up any questions on the divorce, so not to mar the mood. It all ended on a high note, with the Roshan family and their hosts moving on to party till 4 am at the sprawling new five-star resort Dusit Thani.
