Sahara Ray had expressed love for her little daughter in what has now become her final post on Instagram. Ray, an Australian-born model and influencer, has died at the age of 34, with the Daily Mail reporting that she died of a drug overdose. She was rushed to a hospital in the Los Angeles area, but was removed from life support on Sunday (Oct. 18).

'My whole heart'

In her last Instagram post, on July 19, Ray had shared a carousel of photos of her daughter, writing: "My whole heart baby Snow." Ray had welcomed the baby in January this year. She had introduced Snow to her followers in April, sharing a video of them cozied up. "Baby snow hallelujah," she captioned the post.

Ray's family confirmed her death in a statement given to TMZ on Monday. "She passed away last night surrounded by family at the hospital." The family did not reveal the cause of her death.

She "was an incredibly passionate and kind young woman who loved her family, fashion, her daughter Snow, and surfing," Bach told the Daily Mail.

Ray's struggles with health

Ray suffered serious health setbacks over the last few years. In 2024, she revealed that she was suffering from the auto-immune disease Guillain-Barre syndrome, which had left her partially paralyzed. Ray said the condition had been caused by trauma from a car accident.

"Right now I’m paralysed from the tops of my upper thighs all the way down to my feet. I can’t walk at al," she wrote on social media shortly after the car crash. "This is really hard to deal with, I’ve been trying to keep a good attitude and be hopeful that my feeling comes back, but there’s always a chance it just stays like this," she added.

"I just checked into a mental health, wellness, drug and alcohol addiction treatment center retreat. It's really beautiful," she said at that time. Ray was also the founder of a swimwear brand called Sahara Ray Swim.
