Just Married! Prince Harry, Meghan Markle hold hands at the altar, say 'I do'

WINDSOR, ENGLAND: Britain's Prince Harry tied the knot with former- actress Meghan Markle in a dreamy 'non-traditional' wedding at the 15th-century St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.

The couple were pronounced husband and wife by the Archbishop of Canterbury, as an all-black choir sang 'Stand by Me'.

The glittering union brought modern Hollywood glamour into the 1,000-year-old monarchy, as Markle's friends arrived in Windsor to attend the nuptials.


Beaming in a Givency gown designed by Clare Waight Keller paired with Queen Mary’s diamond bandeau tiara, Meghan walked unescorted down the aisle. She was later accompanied by Harry's father, Prince Charles to the altar.

She arrived at the castle with her mother, Doria Ragland, 61, who was seen getting emotional during the ceremony.

After exchanging vows to love and to cherish "till death us do part", the duo exchanged rings, as Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby pronounced them husband and wife. Harry gave Markle a Welsh gold ring.

The marriage brings Markle, born and raised in LA and three years older than 33-year-old Harry, into one of the world's grandest royal families, known as "the Firm".

While the ceremony incorporated the traditions of a monarchy that traces its history back to 1066, Markle brought a sense of modernity. Oprah Winfrey, Priyanka Chopra, George and Amal Clooney, Markle's 'Suits' so-stars, Patrick J. Adams, Gina Torres, Gabriel Macht and Rick Hoffman were among the celebrities who joined Queen Elizabeth and other members of the British monarchy at Harry, sixth-in-line to the British throne, tied the knot.
