"Jurassic World" has garnered $1.522 billion at the global box office and is expected to add more income before it leaves theaters.

The movie comes right after James Cameron's monstrous hit, "Titanic", which became the second highest grossing movie with $2.186 billion.

Meanwhile, "Avatar" is still the highest grossing movie of all time with $2.788 billion.

"Jurassic World", directed by Colin Trevorrow, has earned $614.3 million domestically, becoming only the fourth film to ever cross $600 million. The movie's overseas haul is $907.3 million. Meanwhile, "The Avengers" earned $623 million in North American theaters.

Following the massive success of "Jurassic World", it is reported that a sequel, which will also become the fifth installment of "Jurassic Park" movie series, is underway.
