Junior OTT release: When and where to watch Sreeleela and Kireeti's Telugu rom-com
Kireeti Reddy's debut film, Junior, directed by Radha Krishna Reddy, is set for its OTT release on Amazon Prime Video, after an underwhelming theatrical run. Despite positive feedback for Kireeti's performance and dance skills, the Telugu–Kannada ...

Junior OTT release update
Released on July 18 as a Telugu–Kannada bilingual, Radhakrishna Reddy's directorial venture was made on an estimated budget of Rs 25 crore. While Kireeti promoted the film as primarily a Kannada movie, the Kannada version struggled to find traction in Karnataka. Interestingly, the Telugu version performed slightly better, contributing most of the film’s Rs 7.65 crore net box office collection, as per Sacnilk.com
Due to the underwhelming response, the film’s theatrical run ended in under two weeks. This led to early speculation about a digital release, and now, industry insiders and Telugu123 report suggest Junior will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on August 14, 2025. The film is expected to stream in both Kannada and Telugu audio formats.
More about Junior
Junior was designed to be a launchpad for Kireeti in this action drama. The story features legendary actor V Ravichandran as Abhi’s (Kireeti’s) overprotective father. Their strained relationship takes a dramatic turn when Abhi discovers an unexpected connection between his father and the head of the software company where he’s interning.
The film’s production was not without hurdles. Shooting was delayed for over a year after Kireeti suffered an injury while performing a stunt. This also affected the availability of his co-star, Sreeleela, one of Telugu cinema’s busiest actresses, who was noticeably missing from the film’s second half.
On the musical front, Junior features compositions by Devi Sri Prasad. The track Viral Vayyari became a viral sensation, especially noted for Kireeti’s impressive dance performance, which drew attention even against Sreeleela’s energetic moves, a rare feat for a debut actor.
The film also emsembles a strong supporting cast, including Genelia Deshmukh, Rao Ramesh, Achyuth Kumar, and Kiran Srinivas.
