Jumbo, Flipkart launch dual-screen YotaPhone in India for Rs 23,499

NEW DELHI: Ecommerce major Flipkart Thursday tied-up with UAE based Jumbo Electronics, a IT, telecom and consumer electronics retailer and distributor, to launch the world’s first dual-screen smartphone – YotaPhone – in India.

Priced at Rs 23,499, the Android OS-based YotaPhone comes with a liquid crystal display on one side and an electronic paper display on the other. The device will go on sale on October 17.

YotaPhone has been developed by Russian based telecom gear maker Yota Devices.

“YotaPhone has proved to be a huge success in the Middle East region, and we expect Indian consumers to see great value in the device,” Ajay Pathak, Head-Mobility & Solutions at Jumbo Electronics, said in a statement.
