'JugJugg Jeeyo' crosses Rs 50 cr in box-office collection on Day 6, experts see 'steady' performance

Comedy family drama 'JugJugg Jeeyo' has managed to win hearts and the box-office collections.

On Day 6 (Thursday), the movie collected a total of more than Rs 50 crore, according to the makers, since its release last week on June 24 (Friday).

Backed by Dharma Productions, the banner said that the family entertainer has minted Rs 50.24 crore in the domestic market.


The production house took to social media to share the latest box-office figures of the Raj Mehta directorial.

"This parivaar's love continues to bring families back to the big screen & serve entertainment with a solid punjaabbi touch!" read the post from Dharma Productions.

Sharing the break-up further, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh the movie made Rs 4.52 crore on Day 5 (Tuesday) and Rs 3.97 crore on Day 6 (Wednesday). It held the ground on Day 4 (Monday) with Rs 4.82 crore in box office collection.

During the opening weekend, it made Rs 12.55 crore and Rs 15.10 crore on Saturday (Day 2) and Sunday (Day 3), respectively. It has an amazing release on Day 1 when it collected Rs 9.28 crore.

The movie critic said that the movie has been performing 'steady' at national chains. However, it remains weak outside metros and mass circuit areas.


'Jugjugg Jeeyo' stars Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Neetu Kapoor, Maniesh Paul and Prajakta Koli. This movie marks social media influencer Koli's Bollywood debut. Varun Sood has a cameo appearance in the film.

The family drama revolves around two couples of different generations on the verge of a divorce.
