The Sinners actress shared her personal mental-health toolkit in the October 9, 2026, edition of her Beau Society newsletter. She called it her current “mental-health playlist” and explained that it includes habits she uses regularly and others she turns to when needed.

“Simply put, these are the habits that support my mental health,” Steinfeld wrote. Josh Allen and Steinfeld welcomed their daughter, Harper Haize Allen, in April 2026.

The 29-year-old Steinfeld's favorite habit is getting outside in the morning. She described a routine that involves picking up Harper while they are both still in their pajamas, walking barefoot into the backyard, and saying hello to the sun. “It’s the biggest mood-boost in the world,” she wrote.

She also recommended dancing, even when someone does not feel like moving. She suggested putting on a favorite song, closing the door and letting the music take over. She wrote that becoming a mom had changed how she viewed these moments. Harper is growing quickly, and Steinfeld said recording her daughter's development has brought her comfort. “Life is a series of small milestones, and it’s worth celebrating them,” she wrote.

In her newsletter, she explained that sharing difficult feelings can help strengthen relationships and make life's challenges easier to navigate.

Steinfeld says she sees a therapist when needed

Another part of Steinfeld's routine is talking to a therapist when she feels she needs support.

“This is on an as-needed basis for me,” she wrote. She explained that she schedules appointments when she is feeling stressed or navigating a major life change. “It doesn’t say anything about my mental state; it’s just a great resource to have,” she added.

In her September 25 Beau Society issue, titled “A mental-health check-in with a side of eggs,” she described feeling overwhelmed after her dog Brando became sick and had to spend the night at a veterinary clinic. Her other dog, Martini, was also unsettled. Steinfeld got home late, dinner went cold, and Harper's bedtime routine took much longer than expected.

“I’ll preface this by saying that this one was one of those weeks that knocked me sideways, mentally and emotionally,” she wrote in that newsletter.
