Harry Potter author, J K Rowling, took to Twitter on the 17th anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts to apologize for the death of Fred Weasley, a pure - blood wizard.

Fred died alongside his brother Percy in an explosion, while defending the castle's passageways, in 'The Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows'.

It was a heartbreaking moment for all Potter fans when Rowling decided to separate the happy-go-lucky brothers by making Fred meet his untimely death, leaving brother George in shambles. Fans were equally baffled by the author's ominous blow and would really appreciate the apology.
