Jeff Bezos now the richest man on planet, says Forbes

Amazon's Jeff Bezos has been named as the richest man on earth by Forbes. In its Billionaires 2018 list, Forbes said that the rise in Amazon's share by 59% in 12 months has helped Bezos boost his fortune by $39.2 billion.

Jeff Bezos has unseated Microsoft cofounder Bill Gates who ceded the top spot for only the sixth time since 1995, said Forbes.

Recently, Amazon has become the third most valuable company in the world, racing past Microsoft.


Earlier, Bloomberg also declared Bezos as the richest man on earth.
