Tamil actor Jayam Ravi and his rumoured current partner, singer Kenishaa Francis, made headlines once again following a second public appearance at a wedding reception, just a day after Ravi’s estranged wife Aarti Ravi issued an emotional public statement detailing her side of their ongoing separation. Their joint appearance comes at a time when tensions remain high, and Aarti's letter has triggered widespread public discussion.

Ravi, who announced his separation from Aarti in September last year via X (formerly Twitter), has largely refrained from commenting since then. In contrast, Aarti has spoken out, revealing her emotional and financial struggles, stating that both she and their two sons were “blindsided” by Ravi’s sudden announcement.

Aarti Speaks Out About Emotional Strain

On Friday, Aarti shared a detailed open letter on Instagram, where she described the hardship she’s faced during the separation. She spoke about being labeled a “gold digger” and addressed the difficult situation of potentially losing her home. “My children are 10 and 14. They deserve security, not shock. Stability, not silence,” she wrote. She accused Ravi of stepping away from his emotional and financial responsibilities, noting, “Not a whisper of emotional or financial support has followed from the one who once called them his pride.”


Aarti said she had remained silent for the sake of their children. “I absorbed every accusation, every allegation, every cruel whisper thrown my way. I said nothing—not because I didn’t have the truth, but because I didn’t want my children to carry the burden of choosing between parents,” she added.

Kenishaa Responds with Posts and Public Presence

Kenishaa Francis, who has been linked to Ravi since the separation became public, responded through social media. Without addressing Aarti directly, she shared a quote that appeared to reflect her stance on the matter. “A masculine man will never be attracted to a chaotic emotional energy... She doesn’t compete with his strength, she balances it,” the post read.

Shortly afterward, she reposted a follower’s message supporting her and Ravi, which alleged that Aarti was employing “sympathy tactics” and called her an “opportunist.” The message also claimed Ravi’s character was well known and praised Kenishaa for being an “independent woman.” Kenishaa replied by saying, “Some women actually hold their head up high and love themselves so much, that all they can do is see love in others and spread love too.”

Ongoing Appearances Draw Attention

Despite the controversy, Kenishaa and Ravi attended a wedding reception on Saturday evening, with videos and pictures from the event widely shared online. Kenishaa was seen in a yellow lehenga while Ravi wore an all-black outfit. Their appearance together, following Aarti’s emotional post, added to public speculation about their relationship and its timeline.
