Jaya Bachchan busy campaigning for Didi on 73rd b'day, son & hubby do a nostalgic flashback and granddaughter shows Insta love

Veteran actress-MP Jaya Bachchan celebrates her 73rd birthday today and on the occasion, son Abhishek Bachchan shared a major throwback of the star along with a birthday wish.
Jr. Bachchan took to Instagram to share a black-and-white picture of the 'Sholay' actress dressed in a saree, looking ethereal in her statement braids. Soon, the comment section of the picture was flooded with warm wishes for the actress-turned-politician . Friends and fans apart, there was also the family showing some virtual love - her granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda, showered hearts on the picture and wrote: "Stealing this."
Jaya Bachchan's granddaughter also took to social media to share two vintage pictures of the actress, whereas husband Amitabh Bachchan shared an old candid shot of the couple together.
The actress-turned-politician, who was last seen on the silver screen in 'Kal Ho Naa Ho' in 2003, is currently busy rooting for the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee. The 73-year-old politician recently attended a roadshow in Howrah campaigning for Banerjee’s political party.
Earlier at a press conference, the Samajwadi Party MP lent her full support to Banerjee, calling her a "single woman fighting against all atrocities."
The actress, who has never shied away to speak her mind and is well known for her stern comments, has many accolades under her name. In 1992, Bachchan was awarded the Padma Shri for her contribution to Hindi cinema. The evergreen star has given us some iconic films such as 'Guddi','Silsila', 'Mili', 'Uphaar' and more.
