Jason Kothari of Snapdeal hopes Delhi finds a solution for its pollution woes
Delhi has a lot to offer — be it historical landmarks and a rich culture or open spaces and delectable food. But there’s something the capital is not proud of topping the charts in – smog and pollution.

Jason Kothari, the Chief Strategy & Investment Officer of Snapdeal, who currently calls Delhi home, says that while the capital city has its advantages, the lack of clean air is a critical problem for residents. “Delhi is a special city. However, the air quality has reached dangerous levels that can cause irreversible damage to a person’s fundamental health, which takes precedence and overshadows the many positives of the city,” he says.

So, what is Kothari doing to breathe easy? “I have an air purifier in each room at home and even in my car. Although I enjoy being outdoors, I now avoid it. Nevertheless, this is not sustainable, and I suspect many people will move out of the city unless we find and act on a solution soon.”
