Jake Gyllenhaal says he is searching for perfect film for directorial debut
"I'm searching... but I have yet to feel presumptuous enough. (I'll know when it found it) when my heart lines up with the material... in a visual way," he said.

The 33-year-old ' Brokeback Mountain' star has stepped behind the camera as a producer for his new film Nightcrawler, but he has his sights set on directing a movie, reported Contactmusic.
"I'm searching... but I have yet to feel presumptuous enough. (I'll know when it found it) when my heart lines up with the material... in a visual way," he said.
The actor said he understood the process of filmmaking because his father, Stephen, is a director and his mother, Naomi Foner, is a producer and screenwriter.
"The language I knew was behind the camera. I've always been fascinated by the abrasion of what's in front of the camera and behind the camera," he said.
