Jaipur Laughter Festival to be held in January

JAIPUR: The Jaipur Laughter Festival, to be held here on January 10 and 11, will see the comedy fraternity come together for special performances.

Film stars, comedy artists and writers would be attending the two-day festival which will have separate sessions and also live performances, the festival's chief coordinator Somendra Sharma said.

He said that the show will be inaugurated by film actress Shilpa Shetty. Actors Govinda, Shekhar Sumar, Archana Puran Singh, Rakesh Bedi and Rajesh Puri, poets Ashok Chakradhar, Arun Jaimini, Mahendra Ajnabi, stand up comedy artists Raju Srivastava, Ahsan Qureshi among others will also be participating.

"This is first of its kind event in which people associated with the fraternity will converge and discuss things in separate sessions," he told reporters.

Comedy artists Pratap Faujdar, Suresh Albela, Ekesh Parth and Rasbihari Gaur also inaugurated the festival's website here today.
