Jailer 2 box office collection Day 17: Rajinikanth's film records Rs 509 crore India gross, here's the latest update

Nelson Dilipkumar’s directorial Jailer 2, starring superstar Rajinikanth, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Mithun Chakraborty, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Vidya Balan, has been a huge success at the box office. The Tamil action-comedy is the sequel to the 2023 movie Jailer and is backed by Kalanithin Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures.

Jailer 2’s day 17 box office collections are out. As per Sacnilk, Rajinikanth’s movie has earned an India net of Rs 26 lakh so far with 795 shows tracked across languages. The Tamil version contributed Rs 21 lakh, while Hindi and Telugu brought Rs 3 lakh and Rs 2 lakh, respectively. Its total India gross collections have reached Rs 509.76 crore, and its India net collection is Rs 435.66 crore.

Soundarya Rajinikanth's reaction

Meanwhile, after seeing the reception of the movie and love from fans, Soundarya Rajinikanth, the youngest daughter of the superstar took to Instagram and wrote, “Thalaivar is an emotion not just for me, but for everyone who loves him. It’s something words can’t describe; you can only feel it.” She further called the movie a “sensational blockbuster” and said, “My Tiger Muthuvel Pandian , my appa absolutely rocks the screen! 51 years of entertaining us. 51 years of Rajinism.”

She also praised the director for the movie and her cousin Anirudh Ravichander for the music. She further lauded the cast and the crew and wrapped up the post by saying, “Watch Jailer 2 again and again and again. This film is going to create history in Tamil cinema. So proud!!!! So so proud !!!!”

After bringing down Varman's smuggling network, 3 months later, Muthuvel Pandianafter bringing down Varman's smuggling network, Tiger Muthuvel Pandian lives a low-key life with his family in Coimbatore, working as supermarket supervisor.

But soon, his past catches up when an associate of Varman, Dileep, hires an investigator. Tiger Pandian gets drawn into a larger smuggling network led by the Kalpak family. Amidst the rivalry, Tiger Muthuven Pandian's family becoems the target and he must come up with strategies to protect his loved ones, while he deal with his enemies.
