Jaaved Jaaferi asks for urgent help from social media followers. 'I sincerely request...'

Veteran actor and comedian Jaaved Jaaferi recently informed his followers that his X (formerly Twitter) account has been hacked. Taking to Instagram on April 12, Jaaferi posted a screenshot showing an error message he received when trying to access his profile. The message on the screen said, “Sorry we could not find your account.”

Along with the screenshot, Jaaved wrote in the caption, “So my X account (@jaavedjaaferi) has been hacked. I sincerely request those that are following me on Twitter to complain to X about. Saada Hack… Aetthe Rakh!! Thank you (sic).” His caption referenced the famous song Sadda Haq from the film Rockstar, hinting at his frustration with the situation.

Fans React with Concern and Confusion

Jaaved's post sparked a wide range of responses from fans and followers. While some voiced concern over a possible security breach, others speculated about the real cause of the issue. One follower questioned whether the notification Jaaved received truly indicated a hacking incident, noting that in typical cases of account compromise, users are usually unable to log in due to incorrect credentials, whereas Jaaved's notification implied the account could not be found at all.

Another suggested that the suspension might be linked to a broader trend, humorously implying that comedians facing bans was inevitable. Some users mentioned they could still view Jaaved’s X account, advising him to contact the platform’s support for assistance. A few even tried to lighten the mood by referencing iconic lines from his film Dhamaal, aiming to lift his spirits.

Recent Wave of Celebrity Account Hacks

This incident is part of a concerning trend involving celebrity social media accounts being compromised. Just days earlier, singer Shreya Ghoshal had revealed that her X handle had been hacked. She shared her frustration about not being able to delete or recover her account due to lack of response from the platform. Ghoshal said, “Hello fans and friends. My Twitter / X account is hacked since February 13th. I have tried everything in my capacity to reach out to the X team. But there has been no response beyond a few auto generated responses.”

Actor Swara Bhasker's X account was also previously hacked, though it was eventually restored.

Jaaferi’s Ongoing Projects and Upcoming Releases

On the work front, Jaaved Jaaferi was last seen in the film Inn Galiyon Mein, a romantic drama directed by Avinash Das. The film, which released on March 14, starred Vivaan Shah and Avantika Dassani alongside him.

Jaaferi is also busy with the much-anticipated Dhamaal 4, the latest installment in the popular comedy franchise. Sharing a production update on Instagram recently, he posted a photo and wrote, “The madness is BACK! #Dhamaal4 kicks off with a bang — Malshej Ghat schedule wrapped, Mumbai schedule rolling! Let the laugh riot begin!”

The film features an ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Mishra, and others. Directed by Indra Kumar, the movie is expected to release sometime in 2025, though an official date has not been announced yet.
