HYDERABAD: Ivanka Trump, advisor to the President of United States, took a tour of the past and also saw the technology-driven future of India during her visit to Hyderabad as part of the 8th Global Entrepreneurship Summit, 2017.

While she kicked off the program on November 28 at Hyderabad International Convention Centre, launching the logo of GES through Mitra, a robot developed by a Bengaluru-based start-up, Invento, she dined with 101 delegates including Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the world's largest dining hall at Falaknuma Palace last night.

On Wednesday evening, she visited Golkonda fort, built during the Qutab Shahi Dynasty, where the Telangana government had organised a plenary session for the delegates of GES 2017.

The region is known for the mines that have produced some of the world's most famous gems, including the Koh-i-Noor, the Hope Diamond, Nassak Diamond and the Noor-ul-Ain.
