It's raining tech! OnePlus 9RT launch date tipped for October. Here's what to expect

OnePlus might have just tipped the launch date for its latest 9-series smartphone. The OnePlus 9 RT launch was expected to happen in October, just in time for the festive season. According to recent reports, the launch has been tipped for October in India and China.

As per OnLeaks, OnePlus may unveil the 9RT smartphone on October 15. However, there's no confirmation on the report as of yet. Apart from 9RT, OnePlus is expected to reveal a brand new lite version of the Buds Air Pro with ANC and the second generation Buds Z true wireless earbuds.

The brand new smartphone from OnePlus is rumoured to come with a Snapdragon 870 processor, 120Hz OLED, a 4,500mAh battery, and OxygenOS 12. If reports are to be believed, this could be the first OnePlus smartphone to come with OxygenOS 12 (Android 12). The new version of the OS is reportedly adopting more features from ColorOS (which is now the basis for OxygenOS).


For its main rear-facing camera, it will reportedly use the 50-megapixel sensor behind the same ultrawide as in the 9 and 9 Pro.

For crisp selfies, the phone is expected to flaunt a 16MP camera on the front. The smartphone will most likely run on a 8GB RAM with up to 256GB internal space. It will also come with 65W fast charging support and pack a 4500mAh battery.
