It's happening: After 32 yrs, Boney Kapoor confirms a 'Mr India' reboot

Anil Kapoor and Sridevi-starrer 'Mr India' clocked 32 years recently. The team of the film took a trip down the memory lane of the iconic film. However, amidst this, Anil and director Shekhar Kapur's tweets left fans wondering if a sequel is being planned. Good news for fans, director Boney Kapoor confirmed that a reboot is on the cards.






Kapoor reportedly said that reboot of 'Mr India' is on the cards. Reports also suggest that the director plans a reboot first and then a franchise. He is likely to go for a contemporary take on the same. While the timeline has not been decided yet, makers wish to work on the reboot soon. He also recalled how his wife Sridevi was a glamorous actress at the time. The 63-year-old saw his wife's sad demise a bigger reason to make the film.

Kapoor reportedly could be looking for the original line-up, same star cast and Kapur as director.
