It's a private, Venetian wedding for Bastian Schweinsteiger & Ana Ivanovic

The penalty conceded by Bastian Schweinsteiger in the semi-finals might have caused defending world champion Germany their Euro glory. Serbian Tennis star Ana Ivanovic also had a disappointing first-round exit at Wimbledon.

But there was some good news, after all for the couple's fans.

The sporting duo got married at a slightly-private ceremony in Venice on Tuesday. The pair, who have been dating since 2014, got hitched at the City Hall before being whisked away in a boat on the canal. The bride opted for a bohemian style off-white dress with ruffles, while the groom looked smart in a navy tuxedo.
