InMobi CEO Naveen Tewari plays down $950,000 fine, says no comparison with Google penalty
In conversation with Naveen Tewari, founder and CEO of InMobi:

Like Google recently, InMobi was fined last year [for tracking locations]. What did you learn from it?

“There is a difference between our fine and theirs. They [Google] have been fined $2.7 billion, which is much more than ours [$950,000]. The point remains that we ourselves went to the FTC [US Federal Trade Commission] and said there was an issue at our end. We made it clear from the outset that this was by no means deliberate. It was a glitch. These are software glitches that happen.”
