Before making it big in Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan was a schoolboy who won the hearts of his classmates and teachers with his charming personality. The superstar, who is gearing up for his next film, King, used to study at St. Columba’s School in Delhi. Recently, SRK’s childhood friend and singer Palash Sen, who went to the same school, opened up about his equation with King Khan. As per Palash, while Shah Rukh was an all-rounder, he did have one flaw.

Shah Rukh Khan’s charisma in school

Palash Sen recently appeared in an interview with Kadak on YouTube, where he spoke about a variety of personal and professional topics. Palash revealed that Shah Rukh Khan was his junior by one year and back in school they were quite ‘inseparable’. The singer, however, admitted that over time they slowly drifted apart for no apparent reason.

Heaping praise on the Bollywood Badshah, Palash Sen said that everyone should take lessons from Shah Rukh Khan on how to be charming. His striking magnetism, which is often seen in films, was a hit not only among the pupils but also the teachers, claimed Palash before adding, ‘The teachers did not like anyone else as much as they liked Shah Rukh.’

Shah Rukh Khan couldn’t sing

Palash confessed that he had never met a more ‘charming, ambitious, and efficient person’ than Shah Rukh. Despite the superstar being an all-rounder, Palash shared that SRK had 1 flaw: He could not sing. So, Palash would sing for him during school plays. ‘It is quite rare to witness such a complete person,’ he said.

Despite being ‘good friends’ back then, Palash noted that he rarely met Shah Rukh Khan after school was over. That only happened to bump into each other at either's parties or shows and even that was very rare. Palash, however, harbours no hard feelings for the gradual distance between them. He strongly pointed out that Shah Rukh will always be his friend. ‘Whatever he has achieved in life, I am just proud. I am always so happy,’ said Palash.

Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming project

In other news, Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie King is touted to be high on action. The film, directed by Sidharth Anand, will also feature Suhana Khan. This marks Shah Rukh’s first on-screen collaboration with his daughter. Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan has been cast as the antagonist in King.
