Is Dhurandhar 3 confirmed? Ranveer Singh starrer's co-producer teases big 'surprise for the audience' by year end
The future of the Dhurandhar franchise has become a major talking point after co-producer Jyoti Deshpande hinted that the makers are “not done yet” and teased a possible surprise for audiences later this year. While there is still no official conf...

The latest buzz began after Jio Studios co-producer Jyoti Deshpande spoke to Bollywood Hungama and hinted that the Dhurandhar universe may continue in some form.
She said, “We’re not done with Dhurandhar yet. We’ll hopefully have a surprise for the audience later this year. There’s something up our sleeves.”
Her statement has now led many fans to believe that Dhurandhar 3 could already be under discussion, though there has been no official announcement so far. Online discussions around the franchise have been active for months, with viewers sharing theories about where the story could go next and whether the original cast would return.
The two films have built a strong audience base, especially among action-thriller fans. The first movie released in December 2025 and followed an undercover Indian intelligence officer entering Karachi’s criminal underworld to take down a terror network. Reports around the film had also noted that parts of the story drew loose inspiration from incidents like the IC-814 hijacking, the Parliament attack, and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
Its sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, arrived in March 2026 and continued the story of agent Hamza Ali Mazari.
Rakesh Bedi earlier dismissed third film rumours
Interestingly, actor Rakesh Bedi had earlier shared a very different opinion regarding the possibility of another sequel. In an interview with Zoom, he said, “I don’t think a third part will happen. But Dhurandhar is a franchise, and it can be made with some other actors at any given point of time. The story ends with the spy going back to his nation.”The actor also spoke about the audience response to his character Jameel Jamali and the twist connected to him in the second film. According to him, viewers had entered theatres with very high expectations because of the success of the first movie.
He said, “It was a highlight for the audience, but for us, it was like just another scene. We knew that it would create a ripple. Since Dhurandhar Part 1 was such a big hit, hence, the audience’s perspective to see Dhurandhar Part 2 completely changed.”
He further added, “You are not going to see the film and decide how it was. You are going to see a film with the mindset that it is a great film because its prequel was also great. People were not going to watch the second part casually. They were keen to know what happens in part 2. Now, the audience is seeking to watch part 3.”
Yami Gautam says success has not changed Aditya Dhar
Meanwhile, Yami Gautam also recently spoke about how the blockbuster success of the franchise has affected director Aditya Dhar personally. Speaking to Grazia, she said, “Nothing has changed us as people. That also comes from Aditya, and the kind of person he is, very unaffected and extremely humble.”She added, “I’ve seen him through different phases; there are highs and lows and vulnerable phases, but it’s not like during that phase we expressed our frustration or let it out. Both of us are extremely thankful to God, for us spirituality is very important, we believe in the Almighty. Good things happen to good people. What’s meant for you may be delayed but never denied.”
At the moment, the makers have not officially confirmed Dhurandhar 3. Still, Jyoti Deshpande’s latest remarks have clearly kept the excitement alive. Whether it turns out to be a third film, a spin-off, or some other project connected to the franchise, fans now seem to be waiting closely for whatever announcement comes later this year.
