Irrfan Khan's son Babil turns showstopper for Lakme Fashion Week
He is also all set to make his acting debut with the Netflix film 'Qala'.

Late actor Irrfan Khan's son Babil walked the ramp at the Lakme Fashion Week X FDCI for Sunday, October 16, for fashion designer Pawan Sachdeva. The show, which will present Sachdeva's collection titled 'The People of Tomorrow', also marks Babil's runway debut at Lakme Fashion Week.

Khan who made his debut on the ramp by turning showstopper for the prestigious fashion show, called the opportunity as ''huge''. "It is a huge opportunity for me to be show-stopping for such a reputed designer's collection. I love his style and I am thrilled and nervous," he was quoted as saying to PTI. Khan who is known for posting fashionable selfies on his Instagram handle shared that this show was special to him as he is a patron of sustainable fashion. " ”I’m all for sustainable fashion and this collection as well as the fashion week is primed to promote it in a big way,” he was quoted as saying to the news agency.
Bollywood actress Yami Gautam also turned showstopper for designers Shyamal and Bhumika. She was seen in a a gorgeous pale blush pink lehenga. Actress Bhagyashree of 'Maine Pyar Kiya' fame also walked the ramp in a beautiful red and black saree. Bhagyashree was the showstopper for designer Sanjukta Dutta.

Aside from modelling, Khan is also looking forward to make his debut as an actor. He will make his feature film debut with the upcoming Netflix film 'Qala'. The film is directed by Anvita Dutt of 'Bulbbul' fame. It also stars Tripti Dimri, Tollywood actress Swastika Mukherjee and Amit Sial in lead roles. In an interview with India Today, the budding actor revealed that he his first ever ating project came months after his father passed away. Talking about auditioning for 'Qala' Khan said, "Mujhe sujha bhi nahi kya story hai, kya script hai, I just went for the audition. And at that time, Baba [Irrfan] had just passed away. I was broken and vulnerable." Aside from 'Qala', Khan will also be seen in YRF Entertainments' web series 'The Railway Men'.
