IPL finale gets a new host, Aamir Khan to promote 'Laal Singh Chaddha' during 2nd strategic timeout

With the perfect balance of entertainment and cricket, Bollywood's Mr perfectionist Aamir Khan will turn host for the much-awaited finale on Sunday (May 29).
The superstar will also unveil the trailer of his high-anticipated upcoming film 'Laal Singh Chaddha' during the first inning's second strategic timeout on television.
The actor's banner, Aamir Khan Productions (AKP), took to social media to share the news alongside a video. In the 30-second video, the 57-year-old confirmed that he will turn host for the IPL finale from 6 pm (IST) onwards on the Star Sports network and Disney+ Hotstar.
From releasing songs without visuals to giving singers, lyricists, composers and technicians their due credit, Khan is looking for a unique way to promote the upcoming release.

'Laal Singh Chaddha' is the official Hindi remake of the 1994 Tom Hanks classic 'Forrest Gump'. It is one of the most anticipated films of the year and fans have been impatiently waiting for the teaser. This is a bigger treat for Aamir fans as the actor will return to the big screen after nearly five years.
Directed by Advait Chandan of 'Secret Superstar' fame, the project is being produced by AKP, Kiran Rao, and Viacom18 Studios. The movie also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, and Chaitanya Akkineni in pivotal roles.
The comedy-drama will be released in theatres on August 11.
