Elvish Yadav and Tejasswi Prakash’s latest feud
A video from an upcoming episode of Playground Season 5 has surfaced online, giving viewers a glimpse of another heated exchange between Elvish and Tejasswi. The two have been at odds over disagreements related to their respective teams, but their latest argument has taken the controversy a step further.During the conversation, Elvish was discussing the performance of his team members when he made a remark about the girls driving the car. Tejasswi objected to his comment and questioned why he specifically mentioned the girls.
The exchange quickly became heated, with Elvish asking Tejasswi not to interrupt his conversation with his team member. When she continued to question his remark, he told her to "shut the f**k up".
Tejasswi immediately objected to his language and told him that he could not speak to her that way. The clip has since made its way across social media, with viewers divided over the argument and the way both mentors handled the situation.
Elvish Yadav breaks silence on the controversy
After the video began circulating online, Elvish addressed the controversy in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. The reality TV star accused Tejasswi of trying to turn their disagreement into a gender-based issue.Elvish said, "If someone tries to create a “boy-girl” narrative about me on national television, I’m not okay with it and honestly, no one should be. Dragging a gender angle into everything is not cool. I responded in the language that the situation deserved. Giving false interviews and speaking disrespectfully about my fans is unacceptable. And leaking videos from the set just to look cool or to make the other person seem wrong isn’t right either."
He also defended the way he responded during the argument, saying that he reacted according to the situation. Elvish further claimed that interviews criticising him and his fans, along with videos allegedly being leaked from the set, were unacceptable.
‘Invest money, don’t waste it on PR’
In his response, Elvish took a dig at Tejasswi by bringing up the subject of investments. He further added, "I’ll give you better investment plans so your money goes to the right place. Don’t waste it on PR. I’ve learned who deserves how much importance. If standing up for myself and standing up for my fans is considered wrong, then I’m okay being “wrong."Elvish also said that he had learned how much importance different people deserved in his life. He maintained that if defending himself and his fans made him “wrong”, he was comfortable with that position.
He went on to criticise what he sees as the repeated use of feminism or the “woman card” during disagreements. According to Elvish, gender should not automatically become part of every dispute, and he suggested that those who believe in feminism should focus on women's empowerment.
How did the feud between Elvish and Tejasswi begin?
The tension between the two reportedly started around Episode 18 of Playground Season 5. During a secret card game, Tejasswi was given the power to swap contestants between teams. The possibility of losing strong contestants led to a disagreement among the mentors.Elvish made it clear that he did not want any of his contestants to be moved to another team. Tejasswi questioned the logic behind his objection, pointing out that no mentor would willingly want to lose a member of their own team.
The argument soon became more personal when Elvish accused Tejasswi of being biased. He also warned about the possible reaction if she decided to move a contestant from his team.
Tejasswi interpreted the remark as a possible reference to Elvish’s large fanbase and questioned whether he was trying to intimidate her through his followers. She also rejected the suggestion that her position depended simply on likes and comments.
What did Tejasswi say about Elvish?
Tejasswi later spoke about the issue in an interview. As reported by HT, she clarified that she did not have a problem with anyone's fandom but objected to content creators allegedly encouraging their followers to target others online. She referred to the idea of someone telling their fans to “go teach her a lesson” and said she did not support such behaviour. Her comments were seen by many as a reference to her ongoing disagreement with Elvish.
For the unversed, Elvish and Tejasswi worked together on Laughter Chefs Season 3, where they were often seen sharing light-hearted moments. Tejasswi’s fiancé, actor Karan Kundrra, had also previously referred to Elvish as his younger brother. Their current equation on Playground Season 5, however, appears to be very different.
Meanwhile, Playground Season 5 is currently streaming on MX Player, with Elvish Yadav, Tejasswi Prakash and content creator Aarush Bhola serving as mentors.
