Industrialist Manasi Kirloskar's wild side: Loves hiking, rafting, fishing and trekking

Manasi Kirloskar, daughter and sole heiress of Vikram Kirloskar’s business conglomerate, has a strong sense of adventure. With the belief of treading on uncharted paths, this young icon is quite the explorer.

From hiking to the Kanchenjunga base camp, rafting down the Ganges and the Teesta in Nepal, fishing and kayaking in the inner waters of the Pacific at the Great Bear Rainforest and trekking through the vineyards in Burgundy — her list of activities are endless. Kirloskar has also flown over the Nazca lines in Peru, built bridges in Cambodia, mastered deep sea diving at night in Maldives and has gone cycling in Budapest at night.

Grounded and real, she is now all set to embark on a walking trip through the villages of Vietnam, where she will stay with the villagers as part of communal living. Speaking about this new endeavour, she said, “Sets my spirit free. It’s my way of letting go.”
