Oxfam, which published the report, also noted that "in India, 46 percent of billionaires have made their fortunes from sectors that depend upon market power, influence or preferential access to licensing". The reports also draws comparisons between CEO pay across different countries and the average workforce. For instance, in India, "The CEO of a top information technology firm makes 416 times the salary of a typical employee."
