Indian e-commerce players don't talk about collaboration: Govind Shrikhande, Shoppers Stop
It’s that time of the year when retailers— online and offline — are using all kinds of strategies to woo customers for festive shopping. While the tiff between online and offline retailers has been going on for some time, at a recent industry conference, Shoppers Stop MD Govind Shrikhande said that the attitude of online players needs a change. “We have not thought of this industry as a collaborating platform. The minute we talk to Indian online e-commerce players, they don’t talk about collaboration but domination.”

So, which e-commerce giant has been able to crack this model? Shrikhande believes Alibaba has been able to do that in the US, where the company has ensured that the value of the products are not affected.
