India Inc lauds BCCI for equal pay: Paytm founder cites scene from 'Shabaash Mithu'; RPG boss calls it a progressive step
Sachin Tendulkar also lauded the cricket body's pay equity decision.

India Inc bosses have hailed BCCI's recent move.
Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma said that the decision reminded him of the Taapsee Pannu-starrer 'Shabaash Mithu', now available to stream on the OTT platform, Netflix.
Calling the Mithali Raj biopic an inspiring story, the fintech boss said the movie brilliantly depicted the struggles faced by the cricketer and the Indian Women's Cricket Team. He also said that the women players wore T-shirts of the men's team at one point.
"Congratulations to BCCI, Jay Shah and everyone who made this change and recognition possible," he wrote in his tweet.

Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar also lauded BCCI for introducing pay equity in the sport.
Stating that cricket is an equaliser, he termed it as a 'welcome step towards gender equality'.
"This is a welcome step towards gender equality in the game and erasing discrimination from the sport. Very happy with the decision taken by @BCCI and brilliant to see India paving the way forward," tweeted Tendulkar.
