Father of India Mahatma Gandhi's ideas and teachings always resonate with the leaders from around the world.

Celebrating the 152nd birth anniversary, India Inc bosses took to Twitter to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti and share his values with their followers.

Gautam Adani, Chairman of Adani Group, thanked the Mahatma for giving us the "gift of freedom," showing us the "power of conscience," and teaching us the "value of self-belief".

"Gandhiji was the personification of tenacity and resilience, values that have kept our nation strong in every crisis we have had to face," he wrote.

Quoting profound words by Gandhi, "Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you will live forever," Biocon Executive Chairperson Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw said that the Mahatma's great words must be embraced by one and all.

She further pointed out that these words will help in building a strong knowledge society. "Reverence & Respect on Gandhi Jayanthi," she said.

Giving a new-age twist to Mahatma's ideology, Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma said that the modern-day Gandhi would have an insightful "guru gyan" for the Twitter world.

"Be the app you want to see in the world," he wrote.

The quote is derived from a common phrase, "Be the change you want to see in the world," believed to be said by Gandhi. However, many reports suggest that the quote was modified for a chapter in educator Arleen Lorrance's 1974 book.

The original quote phrased by Gandhi was, "We but mirror the world. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. This is the divine mystery supreme. A wonderful thing it is and the source of our happiness. We need not wait to see what others do."

Gandhi was born on this day in 1869 at Porbandar in Gujarat.
