'Incredibles 2' smashes box-office record to become highest grossing Hollywood animation film in India
The film has raked in Rs 22.3 crore in India in just five days.

The film, released in 925 screens across India last week, follows ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, another box-office record breaker from Walt Disney. Animation film ‘Kung Fu Panda 3’, released in 2016, had a lifetime collection of Rs 22.12 crore in the country.
“The remarkable success of ‘Incredibles 2’ is a testament of the growing popularity of animation in the country,” said Bikram Duggal, head – studio entertainment, Disney India.
As per trade sources, the film collected Rs 3.9 crore in net box-office on Friday, June 22. The figures for Saturday and Sunday almost doubled to Rs 6.5 crore and Rs 7.5 crore, respectively, taking the first weekend total to Rs 17.9 crore. On Monday and Tuesday the film collected Rs 2.3 crore and Rs 2.1 crore, respectively.

In the first film, Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan and his son Aryan had given voices for Mr Incredible and his son, Dash.
