Amitabh Bachchan shared a reflective blog on silence and uncertainty amid COVID-19 treatment.
NEW DELHI: Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, who is admitted in Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital along with his son Abhishek, daughter-in-law Aishwarya and granddaughter Aaradhya, has shared an update from the Covid ward.

Ditching his updates on the social media platforms, the Big B took to his blog - https://srbachchan.tumblr.com/ - to share random thoughts about nature of life, existence and the uncertainty of the unknown that are keeping him awake.

During his healthy days, the actor said that he never had the inclination to sit back and assess the thoughts that invade us. But these thoughts now fill the idle hours that he spends in the hospital bed.

The thespian further added that the thoughts tend to 'race at a greater speed and vividity that had eluded us before in these conditions'. These thoughts had always been there, but remained silenced. He added that 'the mind is freer... and reflects greatly more than ever'.

"A wandering mind often leads us to destinations that because of their complex vagaries brings on that which at times be not what you may want to hear or see. But, you do. The eventuality of all that surrounds us blows heavily about us. Ignorance of it would not be a considered act. So you succumb to it, bear it, live it, caress it at times, and play with it... Hold on to it , embrace it and accept it. But never be able to desist its presence," he wrote.

The ' Piku' actor admired the thinkers and visionaries of the times such as writers poets, philosophers & scientists who in their superior wisdom play out for themselves and often for the good of humanity, which the common people will find mundane or never venture into. He added what provokes them into the thought process will remain a mystery of the genius.

Bachchan also pointed out that the time 'today gives liberty to stretch the gravitas of the cerebrum'. He further asked people to appreciate the free time as they may never get another opportunity to be involved in this act. "Given the circumstance , I would like to believe that each one of us, each individual has the will and the capacity to be what they may have believed , they would never be," his post read.

Describing his isolation ward as a 'room of cure' he has been in for over a week, the 77-year-old megastar said that his eyes keep looking for a reaction from someone to respond or connect.

There are time the actor finds it, and other times, he stares at the barren walls with empty thoughts filled with the life of existence, of reaction and company.
