Superstar George Clooney and his wife, Amal Alamuddin, have been married since 2014. They are parents to nine-year-old twins Ella and Alexander. Clooney married Amal, who was a lawyer, in a fairytale wedding in 2014. The power couple decided to transform their wedding memories into a cause for charity. According to a TMZ report, they sold off their wedding pictures for charity. The winners were People Magazine, in the North America market, and Hello! in Britain. The money went to several humanitarian projects, with the largest amount donated to a charity founded by Clooney that monitored Sudan for war crimes – the Satellite Sentinel Project.

As per a RaveItUp article, the wedding pictures were sold for a whopping $5 million.

The pair got hitched in a dreamy wedding in Venice, Italy. This year, Amal opened up about their marriage and how she's been the Ocean’s Eleven star affected her ability to separate personal and professional life, hinting that being a public figure’s partner can be at times exhausting.


Speaking at the Cartier Dialogues event, the lawyer said, "It was easier when I could decide what kind of exposure I got. It was something new to navigate. It was a weird phenomenon. I used to have my work life and my personal life, and they could look quite different, and I was able to not have them mix... and then I got married, and that changed quite a lot," she told Page Six.

She admitted the marriage made her more conscious regarding her outfits and public appearances in general. “At first I was kind of conscious of that one-dimensional view where I felt like, well, I can't be seen wearing this dress or doing this because I'm in front of a judge on Monday and I don't want the judge to…” she said.

She maintained that your professional success still depended on your talent and how good you were at what you do. "Ultimately if you're good at what you do, that is going to shine through or not," Amal said.

Amal is a Lebanese-British human rights lawyer. She holds a BA in Jurisprudence from the University of Oxford and an LLM from New York University.
