Noah Wyle, best known for playing the role of Dr. Michael ‘Robby’ Robinavitch in the cult medical drama The Pitt, has been crowned the Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine. But beyond his Hollywood fame, Noah is a ‘homebody’ who loves a slow pace of life where peace and quietness go hand in hand. So, it was not a surprise that in 1999, the actor purchased an 80-acre ranch in California for approximately $2.5 million to unwind and recharge himself.

Noah, in a conversation with People magazine, revealed that he loves spending days on the ranch as it offers the actor a comfortable space to retire after days of hard work and travelling across the world. Noah enjoys being with his family, wife Sara Wyle and his 2 kids, whom he shares with his ex-partner, Tracy Warbin, in the property.

Apart from that, Noah revealed that caring for the animals on the ranch, situated in Santa Ynez, makes him feel alive and ‘happier’, giving him great vigour to resume his work commitments. ‘That’s sort of my go-to sanctuary. Laboratory. Oasis,’ Noah described the property.

In a 2019 interview with Cowboys & Indians, Noah revealed that back when he bought the property, it featured a ‘menagerie’ of farm animals, including horses, pigs, chickens, and a rescue steer, alongside cats and dogs. The actor confessed that while the ranch still houses plenty of animals, it is not in large numbers like before.

‘If I hear a good hard-luck case or a good sob story about an animal in need, I am still a soft touch, and everybody knows it, said Noah. The Pitt actor further noted that since he is from Los Angeles, he wanted a similar rural and small-town vibe, away from the city to raise his kids. Since he was shooting for ER back then and could only drive as far as 2 hours after work, he picked out Santa Ynez Valley.
