Tech time
Since we are only working twice a week in office, I tend to spend way more time looking and talking to a screen than before, the screen time have almost increased by 60-70%.Thanks to COVID-19 every meeting/ interaction is now on screen.

To go gadgets
I actually have 3 gadgets that I am completely dependent on these days- My iPhone, EarPods and for the last couple of months I have fallen in love with my new gadget – the Microsoft Surface. Earlier, I was good at doing everything through my phone but I have now shifted most of my work to the Surface because of the increase in the screen time. Everything that I can do on my phone I can literally do it on surface and it has enhanced my productivity tremendously.

Going auto
Everyone is making a gradual shift to either Google Home or Alexa. I am also spending a lot of time to trying to automate my life on ticking out basic functions out of my life and automating the same. AI driven work is my next big focus.

Apps I love
I work a lot on an app called Todoist. It’s my go-to app for note taking.

Spotify has also taken over a bigger part of my life now. It is not only limited to music anymore, It is a great way for catching up on news while I am driving to work.

Watch out
I was one of the first 1000 customers to own a FITBIT because I was in America that time and it was limited initial stock. The other wearable device that I use and like is my Apple watch. But I am person who enjoys the feel of a normal watch too so I keep switching in phases. I wear a smart watch for exercising or personal social time but I don’t wear it for work as it becomes too distracting.

Since offices will not be at maximum capacity, there is scope to ensure enough physical distance between two desks by simply skipping one in the middle. At the very least, or in addition, fitting a screen around each desk is also a good way to achieve this. Hot desking is now a no-go.

The way 2020 is going, it’s hard to predict anything this year with any accuracy, so we have no idea what monsoon will bring, but opening as many windows as you possibly can will increase ventilation and we suspect that a lot of offices will consider the option. Too hot? Your office may need to get a humidifier system in place to create a tougher climate for viruses.

Whether this is good news to you or exactly the opposite, travelling for business will see a drastic drop, replaced instead by Zoom calls.
