Ganesh Chaturthi is all about indulging your sweet-tooth. Modaks, laddoos, barfis, karanji, the options are unlimited.

But sometimes, all you crave for are some delicious motichoor laddoos.

Chef Kasiviswanathan, Executive Chef at Radisson Blu Atria, Bengaluru has shared his secret for some scrumptious laddoos.

The best part? You don't have to be a masterchef to create these mouth-watering delights.

Motichoor laddoo

Ingredients

Besan flour: 500 gm
Sugar: 1 kg
Red food colouring: 2 gm
Almonds: 100 gm
Pistachios: 100 gm
Raisins: 50 gm
Cashew nuts: 100 gm
Ghee: 50 ml

Cardamom powder: 1 tablespoon
Oil: 2 kg
Water: 700 ml

Method
- Make a batter with besan flour, water, colour and keep aside.
- Mix the sugar with water to form sugar syrup. Add lemon in to it for removing dirt, and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a kadai (pan). Once hot, make small boondis with help of laddoo jara.
- Remove from oil, after has been cooked.
- Mix the boondi with sugar syrup keep aside for at least 30 minutes.
- Remove from syrup, mix with dry nuts.
- Make small dumplings and serve.
