If I've hurt anyone, I regret it, says Aamir Khan on boycott calls against 'Laal Singh Chaddha', cheers for Akshay Kumar's ‘Raksha Bandhan’
Khan urged people to watch his films, adding that it isn’t just about him but is a team effort.

The official Hindi remake of the Tom Hanks-led 1994 Hollywood film ‘Forrest Gump’, is coming out at a time when the Internet is buzzing with the boycott calls.
On Wednesday, the actor was at an event to promote ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ when he addressed the ongoing boycott chatter surrounding his film, and urged the audience to go to the theatres and watch the film as “it is a product of years of hardwork of a lot of people”.
Khan also expressed regret and said he doesn’t want to hurt anyone. "If I have hurt anybody with my actions, then I regret it. I don't want to hurt anyone. I think if some people don't want to watch my film, I will respect that,” the actor said, adding that the film isn’t just about him but is a team effort.
“But I would like as many people as possible to watch the film. We have put in a lot of hardwork. Film-making is a team effort. It's not just me," Khan said.

“Boycotting films in a free country like India doesn't make sense because cinema as an industry also contributes to nation building,” the actor had said on Monday, adding "If you don't feel like watching the movie, then don't. It's a free country and the film is out there, so if someone wants to watch it or not, it's up to them.”
The actor, who was in the city to promote ‘Raksha Bandhan’, also appealed to people to not indulge in such trends.
Meanwhile, Khan cheered for Kumar’s film which releases alongside ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ today.
Khan, whose last big screen outing 'Thugs of Hindostan' had a dull run at the box office in 2018, said his brain is in "overdrive" mode.
"I'm really nervous about the release. I have not slept for 48 hours ... My brain is in overdrive. I play chess online, read books to keep myself busy. I guess I can only sleep after 11th August. I believe both Advait Chandan (director) and I will sleep like a log post the release of the film," the 57-year-old actor said.
