Ibibo's Ashish Kashyap's new acquisition: DJI 's Phantom 2 Vision, a flying camera
Quadcopters or drones are all the rage these days. Ibibo Group CEO Ashish Kashyap is one among them. Kashyap's new acquisition is DJ I 's Phantom 2 Vision, a flying camera he purchased in San Francisco in August.

Kashyap has flown the drone along the Half Moon Bay in California and hopes to use it in India soon. "The drone integrates with two apps in my smartphone, which is also the base station for the drone. The apps give an integrated first person view of the video," he says.

One feature of the Phantom 2 Vision is its ability to programme a flight path using the smartphone. Elaborating on flying the drone over the Pacific Ocean, Kashyap says, "At one point, I lost sight of the drone and also lost the signal to my mobile phone. With the help of a switch, it was able to fly back to its place of origin. The drone has a 'Return-to-Home' feature that brings it back."
