'I will see you again.' Shehnaaz Gill pens an emotional note on Sidharth Shukla's birth anniversary

Marking Sidharth Shukla's 42nd birth anniversary, his close friend and actress Shehnaaz Gill on Monday remembered the star who passed away on September 2, 2021. The actor died following a massive heart attack at the age of 40.

Gill took to her Instagram handle on Monday to share an emotional message alongside a throwback picture of the late actor. In the picture, Shukla, dressed in a white shirt and black blazer, is smiling at what looks like some media event.

"I will see you again. 12 12," Gill wrote on Instagram.


The singer also shared pictures on her Instagram story of cakes with Shukla's birth date. The 28-year-old also shared solo portraits of the two and a close-up of their hands. The fans and industry friends flooded the comment section with their emotional messages.

Actress Kashmera Shah dropped a comment on Gill's post. "Yes. And he will always live in all our hearts," she wrote.

Shukla, best known for his role in the long-running TV show 'Balika Vadhu' and his Bollywood debut 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania', rose to countrywide prominence after winning 'Bigg Boss 13' in 2020.

Meanwhile, Gill had recently paid a tribute to the late actor while accepting her award at Filmfare Middle East Achievers Night in Dubai. "I want to thank someone… Thank you for coming into my life. I am whatever today is all because of you..this is for you Sidharth Shukla," Shehnaaz said, evoking a loud cheer from the audience.

Shukla and Gill grew close to each other and formed an unique connection with each other after the two appeared on the 'Bigg Boss' season 13. Shukla later won that same season in 2020.

The duo's endearing chemistry on the reality show was loved by the audience, who tagged them as SidNaaz and showered their support and love for the bond. Their undying affection for each other raged fire, even on the show.

The two later appeared together on reality shows such as 'Bigg Boss OTT' and 'Dance Deewane' along with featuring in music videos of 'Bhula Dunga' and 'Shona Shona'.
