I was prepared for demonetisation when I arrived in India: Thomas G Bata
While top designers like Tom Ford and Sophie Theallet have refused to dress US President-elect Donald Trump's wife Melania, Thomas G Bata, former CEO and family council president, Bata, had some advice to offer the soon-to-be First Lady. "I have noticed that Mrs Trump mostly wears heels. So, I would invite her to wear flats, as I believe that a well-designed pair of flats can do wonders to a woman's ensemble and can be very sexy indeed," said Bata. The brand head was in India to launch a new collection of shoes and given the timing of his visit, one would expect him to face inconvenience of some sort on account of the demonetisation. Bata said, "Fortunately I was prepared when I arrived. I made sure I had my credit card with me at all points." Clearly a man who thinks on his feet.
