Actor Arjun Rampal recently broke silence on a dark phase of his life when he experienced severe emotional crisis and felt very vulnerable. In a chat with Sohini Rohra on Cancelled To Crown podcast, the Durandhar star opened up about the time when he was undergoing personal turmoil on multiple front. His marriage was in shambles and to add salt to the wound, his mother was diagnosed with cancer.

Reflecting on his marriage to former model Mehr Jesia, he admitted he learned a bitter truth: “Love is not constant.” He also explained that sometimes two people grow apart together and although its sad, it’s an inevitable part of life one must accept.

He also cautioned against blaming your partner if your relationship has hit rock-bottom.

“You can't blame. If you blame, you are going to become even more miserable because you are using that as a crutch to not introspect honestly. You're victimising yourself. But you can't do that."

The Rock On star also revealed how he coped with his mother’s devastating cancer diagnosis. Describing it as the darkest phase of his life, the actor said he felt helpless as he was losing all the people he cared about.

“I was losing everybody who was close to me. I had lost my father three years before that. I was losing friends. I was losing everything that I had worked so hard to get," he said.
