Reflecting on his marriage to former model Mehr Jesia, he admitted he learned a bitter truth: “Love is not constant.” He also explained that sometimes two people grow apart together and although its sad, it’s an inevitable part of life one must accept.
He also cautioned against blaming your partner if your relationship has hit rock-bottom.
“You can't blame. If you blame, you are going to become even more miserable because you are using that as a crutch to not introspect honestly. You're victimising yourself. But you can't do that."
The Rock On star also revealed how he coped with his mother’s devastating cancer diagnosis. Describing it as the darkest phase of his life, the actor said he felt helpless as he was losing all the people he cared about.
“I was losing everybody who was close to me. I had lost my father three years before that. I was losing friends. I was losing everything that I had worked so hard to get," he said.
Rampal credited his partner, Gabriella Demetriades, for being his rock, he said: "I was very lucky because I got somebody like Gabriella into my life who I think was a very strong anchor and was also coming from a space of maybe a lot of darkness as well."
Gabriella and Arjun met in 2018 and have been together since. They have two sons - Arik and Ariv. Arjun was previously married to model-producer Mehra Jesia. The two parted ways in 2018.
