With most people stuck at home due to the Covid-19 outbreak, streaming video apps help us beat the lockdown blues. In dire times like these, YouTube is an easy way to keep yourself entertained. However, the global population was in for a shock as the streaming video service went down in the wee hours of Friday.

Indian users reported issues with accessing the app at around 6 am in the morning. According to Downdetector, YouTube was facing issues in India, the USA, Europe, Japan, and parts of Australia.

While YouTube is yet to comment on the outage, netizens didn’t refrain from offering their two cents on the same. Netizens took to Twitter to check if it were really down or if their internet connection was lousy and in the process, came up with hilarious memes.
